After a highly competitive RFP process, AvalonBay Communities and Williams Jackson Ewing were awarded the development of three parcels, located at the nexus of six dynamic downtown neighborhoods: NoLita (North of Little Italy), the East Village, SoHo (South of Houston Street), NoHo (North of Houston Street), Greenwich Village and the Lower East Side.

Chrystie Place spans three prime locations on Houston Street, Second Avenue, East First Street and the Bowery, in the heart of what has become a retail and dining mecca, The project includes 130,000 SF of unique main-street boutiques, inventive restaurants and sidewalk cafes and a two-level, 85,000 SF Whole Foods organic grocery store, all at the base of 650 luxury apartments.
